As your child starts to bring home artwork and works well done, you want to keep them safe, right? Here is an easy construction paper book that you can make with your child and have at the ready to glue or tape any projects as soon as they are brought home. Keep in mind, however, that this is only for 2-dimensional works.

WHAT YOU NEED
Construction paper
Hole punch
Different colors of ribbon
Glue
Decorative objects for front to personalize it

WHAT YOU DO

  1. Stack your paper, only as thick as your hole punch can punch, and punch holes through the entire stack along the edge of it.
  2. Take strips of different ribbon and tie them into a bow in each of the holes. For an alternative look, you can lace at long piece of ribbon down the side, too. That is what we did … see picture.
  3. Decorate the front!

For the front, have your child write his name across the top or bottom. You can put a current picture of your child on the front, too. (School pictures from that year would be great for this, too!). Add little items to the front that best represent your child.

For added stability, you can take the backs of two paper tablets and glue a sheet of construction paper to it to create hardback books.

NOTE: You can substitute a page here and there with the extra long construction paper that you can fold inward for those over-sized projects.
