Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park has much to offer in the upcoming 2023 – 24 season, kicking off this month.
The big news is the all-new production of A Christmas Carol, designed for the new mainstage theater complex, Moe and Jack’s Place — The Rouse Theatre. The beloved holiday tradition will run November 24 – December 30 with an all-new set, costumes and lighting. The show also includes a new actor in the lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge with the retirement of Bruce Cromer. Andrew May will take the helm (most recently seen in the theatre’s production of Murder on the Orient Express). This year’s production of A Christmas Carol is getting a new adaptation by Osborn Family Producing Artistic Director Blake Robinson who also will direct. The Playhouse is supported by the generosity of almost 40,000 contributors to ArtsWave Community campaign. The Ohio Arts Council helps fund the Playhouse with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. The Playhouse also receives funding from the Shubert Foundation.
