Cincinnati Family, a multiple award-winning regional parenting publication distributed for free each month, is pleased to announce three new awards (including three Gold Awards in editorial and design), received from the Parenting Media Association (PMA) Editorial and Design Contest. The award ceremony is the culmination of the PMA’s annual three-day media conference.   

The PMA, a nonprofit that’s represented the regional family media market since 1988, hosted the ceremony Saturday, November 12 at the Annual Conference this year held in Denver, Colorado. The awards were judged by the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Cincinnati Family’s awards are as follows:

  • The “Calendar of Events, “Things To Do,” earned SILVER for it’s excellent writing and content in the small circulation publication category of 25K by Amanda Ciani, associate editor; Susan Day, editorial director; Amanda Hayward, editor
  • The “News Briefs/Short Stuff” “Cincinnati News” earned a GOLD Award for its editorial content, by Amanda Ciani, associate editor.
  • The “Q&A Interview” earned a Silver for fantastic editorial content; “Talking with Kids About Disabilities”; Susan Day, editorial director; Amanda Hayward, editor; Nyketa Gaffney, writer
