Leave one out for the Easter Bunny! This is an easy, fun way to turn the ordinary rice treats we all know and love into something seasonal and cute.

What you need:
1 package of marshmallows (the colored ones make a more festive treat)
6 cups of rice Cereal (any brand will do)
3 tablespoons of butter
Wax paper
Cooking spray
Cake pan
Cookie cutters
Powdered sugar

What you do:

  1. Lay a sheet of wax paper down on the cake pan
  2. Spray a the wax paper lightly with the cooking spray
  3. Tear off another sheet of wax paper the same length and spray one side of it with the cooking spray and set aside
  4. Count out about 40 – 45 marshmallows
  5. Measure out 6 cups of the rice cereal
  6. Melt the butter
  7. Melt the marshmallows in with the butter, stirring continuously
  8. Add in the rice cereal
  9. After mixed thoroughly, spread out onto the cake pan
  10. Take the other sheet of wax paper and lay it down over the treats (cooking sprayed side down) and use your hand to spread the treats out into an even layer (CAUTION: It may still be HOT)
  11. Let cool
  12. Take your cookie cutters and spray them with cooking spray (to help the treats not stick so much to them)
  13. Cut out your treats
  14. Dust them with powdered sugar (this helps them not to stick together when you stack them)

After you are done cutting out the shapes that you want, you can even add icing to them if you prefer instead of the powdered sugar. Get messy and have fun with it!
