It’s January, and that means New Year’s resolutions are everywhere, including getting more exercise and eating healthy. Here’s a sneaky way to work some greens into your kids’ diets with a tasty blueberry smoothie (trust us, they’ll never know there’s a load of spinach in there).
Ingredients (makes one smoothie)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice (or 1/4 cup orange juice and 1/4 cup water to dilute it)
- 1 cup packed baby spinach
- 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
Directions
Easy peasy! Throw it all in a blender or juicer and give it a whirl until thoroughly blended. The color of the blueberries will keep your smoothie from turning green (and turning off picky easters), and you won’t even be able to taste the spinach. It’s like having a fruity milkshake for breakfast or a snack!
