Winter break is here, and it’s a good excuse to do some couch-surfing while playing a video game or watching TV.  But winter is a great time to get outdoors!  If you need an idea to keep the kids active while on break, check out Great Parks of Hamilton County’s Animal Adventures.  Kids will learn about how animals common to the area survive the winter, and even meet a few in person!

Animal Adventures takes place at the Highfield Discovery Garden inside Glenwood Gardens at 10397 Springfield Pike.  Programs are held at 10:45 a.m., 1 and 4 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays, and 1 and 4 p.m. on Sundays, Dec. 28 – Jan. 8.  Admission is $2 plus a valid Great Parks of Hamilton County motor vehicle permit ($3 daily, $10 annual) is required to enter the park.  Learn more at 513-521-7275 or greatparks.org.
