JumpStart Theatre Applications Open
Through April 1st, 2026, Cincinnati tri-state schools are welcomed and encouraged to apply to participate in JumpStart Theatre. Selected Schools will be announced later this spring, with programming being implemented in the fall of 2026. With the goal of empowering teacher teams the training and confidence to continue performing arts programs independently, JumpStart is a gift that keeps giving.
About JumpStart Theatre
The Educational Theatre Foundation collaborated with iTheatrics and Music Theatre International to create this three-year program which brings musical theatre programs to underserved schools that previously had none. Once chosen, the schools receive both services and materials to jumpstart programs for theatre. Valued at $12,000, participating schools gain training, mentoring, and production support for a full-scale production. Schools also come together for an annual showcase to share their hard work.

Spencer Center for Gifted and Exceptional Students, Mt. Washington School, Batavia Middle School, Shroder High School, Covedale Elementary, Holmes Middle School, Finneytown Middle School, and Gamble Montessori High School.
