This hand vac is not like any other. The CleanWave UV-C Sanitizing Furniture & Bed Vac not only vacuums surfaces like your bed, couch, chairs, rugs and even pet beds, it also has a built-in UV-C light that is said to eliminate up to 99.99% of viruses, bacteria, germs, mold, dust mite and flea eggs on each of these surfaces while you vacuum.
Now, you must be aware that this light is harmful if exposed to your skin. Which is no wonder they thought things through and had a safety mechanism made right into it, too. The light will not come on unless it is on a flat surface. It will immediately shut off once it leaves ANY flat surface.
So, rounding those bed and couch corners and edges – while you will be vacuuming them – you will not be sanitizing them because the flat surface barrier is eliminated. It has a handy light gage on the top to show you that the light is on, too.
And, for those hard to reach places where the wide attachment for the light can’t go, simply remove the small hand vac from the light source pad and continue vacuuming regularly.
The CleanWave is also a bag-free vacuum and is easy to open and empty. It also has an extra long chord.
The downfall of that is that you have nowhere to store the chord. However, there are additional attachments for the small hand vac found within the light source base.
This is a great little vacuum especially if you have pets … and little ones.
