Get to know some new faces at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden (CZBG) (3400 Vine St.):

• Three new male manatees will temporarily call Manatee Springs their home. The goal is for Alby, Manhattan and SwimShady to eventually be rehabilitated back to Florida. Thanks to the Manatee Rescue and Rehabilitation partnership, CZBG is one of two facilities providing non-critical care to manatees.

• Ori the Verreaux Eagle Owl hatched March 12. His name in Hebrew means “light.” Ori can be seen this summer during the Bird Encounter.

• Oh baby! Moe and Lightning (two-toed sloths) are expecting. This will be Moe and Lightning’s first offspring and the first sloth born at our zoo! Lightning is due in early fall, 2021.
