With what would have been race week for the annual Flying Pig event, organizers are making the most of it this weekend with porch celebrations, sidewalk art, a virtual run and more!
Features include: the option to purchase a personalized Virtual High Five from Iris Simpson Bush and the Flying Pig Mascot orders (deadline to order is Thursday, April 30 at 11:59 p.m. at shop.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, The Flying Pig Marathon was moved to October 9 – 11. Participants can either run a Spring Virtual Race, postpone to the October date or contribute race registration fees to the Flying Pig Charities.
So what’s a virtual run? You run at your own pace, day, time and location, and still receive a shirt and medal for your hard work – the treadmill counts, too! You have until June 1 to complete your Flying Pig distance. Choose between the Spring Virtual Flying Piglet Kids Fun Run, Spring Virtual Flying Pig Half Marathon, Spring Virtual Flying Pig Full, Kids’ Marathon 26th Mile, Spring Virtual Flying Pig 5K and 10K and more!
