Spring is right around the corner in Greater Cincinnati, so be sure to get out to these lovely parks with family and friends before the summer heat hits!
Bordering Hamilton County, Winton Woods offers 2.6 miles of paved trails, fishing, horseback riding and camping. My family really enjoys their Easters at the campground too! Winton Woods also offer a riding center with horses and a children’s farm and petting zoo known as Parky’s Farm.
Beautiful Fairfield in Butler County boasts the Village Green Amphitheatre with summer concerts and food housed next to the public library and Community Arts Center. Harbin Park off Pleasant Avenue offers paved trails, frisbee golf and enclosed shelters for picnics. My stepgirl, Alyssa, enjoyed some time here with her Dad and I on the swingsets and the playground!
And don’t forget Devou Park in Covington, Kentucky! Sprawled on 700 acres, get out there to enjoy some leisure time on over 700 acres of greenery including an 18-hole golf course. You also stop and enjoy some history at Behringer-Crawford Museum. And if you’re looking for some much-needed exercise there is a bike rental and eight miles of secluded trails.
