EnterTRAINment Junction is a great place to go anytime of the year! It is especially fun at Christmas though. My family went this past weekend and had a blast!
The Main Street train display is breathtaking – plus there is a carnival scene with swings, a Ferris wheel and a large circus tent. The carnival scene makes you feel like you are at old Coney Island! There are other trains in this display, too, that depict an old-time Christmas in a mountain side train town. Even better, this attraction is free! Just walk past the Junction Cafe in the main lobby and you can’t miss it. If you’ve never been to EnterTRAINment Junction before, the largest indoor train display in the world, the lobby feels like an old time train station. I think that is my favorite part about this place.
After visiting Main Street Holiday Trains, be sure to head over to Winter Wonderland and view old toys, see the reindeer, eat a cookie and say, “Hello,” to Mrs. Claus and then visit Santa! You can even get a picture for a reasonable price. (Nothing against Santa, but my kids prefer standing next to him which is an option as well!) Winter Wonderland is next to the A-Maze-N Funhouse where there are wobbly floors, a house of mirrors and a curtain craze – all included with an Do-It-All ticket.
After all that holiday fun, the train display is well worth a stop. Over two miles of track, you’ll notice the representation of the earliest train periods to modern times. The display is very detailed and life-like. There are even stools for the littlest kids to stand on to push buttons that create noises and make some of the objects move! My husband and I would have loved to spend more time at this part of EnterTRAINment Junction, but my kids were super excited about the play area; the huge play structure has a toddler zone, play gym, train tables and more!
Don’t forget to stop in the gift shop, Junction Hobbies and Toys, before leaving – don’t forget to ask about the fun scavenger hunt for the kids before beginning your train journey!
EnterTRAINment Junction is fun all year-round, and there are some good deals on tickets, but the Do-It-All ticket is the best bang for your buck! Christmas at the Junction goes on through January 1, 2020; Santa heads back to the North Poles on Christmas. Head to entertrainmentjunction.com for more information and more year-round events!
