I love the Spring and Summer when fresh, local produce is available! There are lots of stands by the side of the road and markets around town but one of my favorite places to go is the Loveland Farmers Market. It is held every Tuesday from 3-6:30 pm at 205 Broadway Street from May to October. The market features a large variety of vendors ranging from the sale of coffee, baked goods, fresh produce, bread, and even products made from Alpaca wool! Diane’s Heavenly Delights is one of our favorite places to get a treat after completing the weekly scavenger hunt and earning the equivalent of a dollar to spend towards any market purchase.
The market is very kid friendly and I often get healthy tips or practical advice from the vendors. It is nice too that the market is right by the bike trail because we can eat at local restaurants or go play on the nearby playground at Nisbet Park. For the most part though my kids have a blast sampling the food, listening to the weekly entertainment, getting a treat, and taking in all the sights and sounds!
