iSPACE: The STEM Learning Place will be home to the 2018 FIRST LEGO League District Tournament on Jan. 20. Twenty-six teams in grades 4 – 9 will compete for spots at the Ohio FIRST LEGO League State Championship.
What is it? Each year, FIRST LEGO League releases a challenge based on a scientific topic. This year’s challenge is Hydro Dynamics — students learn all about water and how to find, transport, use and dispose of it. Teams will program robots to score points on a themed playing field in Robot Game, and develop a solution to a problem they have identified in Project, all guided by FIRST LEGO League Core Values.
During the tournament, a Jr. FIRST LEGO League Expo will also take place. Learn more at ispacestem.org.
