The Boone County Public Library’s mascot, Tales, has a new mailbox and he’s eagerly looking forward to receiving letters! Starting July 1, children can visit any library branch and write a letter to Tales using special Tales stationary. Or, they’re welcome to write a letter at home and bring it in! Tales loves to hear what kids are reading!
Stop by the front desk or the Children’s Department to get a Tales mailing stamp. Then, place the letter in the Tales mailbox and put the flag up! Tales will write back to your child (just allow for a couple weeks, as Tales expects to be busy keeping up with all his new pen-pals), so plan a return visit when your child can pick up his letter.
