Extra! Extra! Read all about it … like, literally READ! The Barnes and Noble Summer Reading program has started. The program is for students in grades 1 – 6. Kids are required to read eight books and record the books in the Barnes and Noble summer reading journal. They also write what their favorite part of the book is and why. (Thank you Barnes and Noble for encouraging reading comprehension skills!)
When the journal is full, just take it to your local Barnes and Noble and your child will earn a FREE book from the book list. The summer reading program runs through September 5, 2017. Summer reading programs are a great way to encourage your child to read all summer long! Also, keep an eye on the Barnes and Noble event calendar for a listing of the in-store storytimes near you.
