- Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center (620 Greenup St., Covington) will host a Saturday Arts Sampler on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Try out a free youth art class and then sign up your little Picasso! Call 859-431-0020 or visit bakerhunt.org.
- The Behringer-Crawford Museum’s (1600 Montague Road, Covington) annual holiday toy train display is well underway, but families can also check out their Tot Tuesday program, held the third Tuesday of each month, as well as RSVP for some Polar Express readings on Dec. 4, 11 and 18. - Play some laser tag ($8 – $18, depending on number of people and missions) or get your jump on at Lazer Kraze’s (pictured here; 1335 Donaldson Road, Erlanger; 859-371-5729 or lazerkraze.com) indoor trampoline ($9.50 – $14).
- Let your littles work out their wiggles at Jump Zone Party & Play Center (5765 Constitution Dr., Florence; 859-283-5867 or jumpzoneparty.com). Open play ranges from $8 – $10, head to the web site for a full schedule of dates, times and ages.
- Totter’s Otterville (4314 Boron Dr., Covington; 859-491-1441 or tottersotterville.com) is a great play spot for kids up to age 10. They can explore and play in a safe (and peanut-free) environment. Admission is $8.95 per child, and adults are FREE! Be sure to visit the web site before you go for a calendar of planned crafts and activities.
- Older kids can blow off steam at Ollie’s Skatepark (8171 Dixie Hwy., Florence; 859-525-9505 or skateollies.com). Open to skateboards, blades, bikes and scooters, the 5,000-square foot skate park is open daily, a perfect spot to burn off some Christmas cookies.
