I love Legos. Like REALLY love Legos. My mom finds me different places to go to build and play with them. My library has a Lego club where I get to play with other kids who like Legos too. This month we looked at Lego books about vehicles. Then we worked at tables to build our own. The library lady took our pictures. I wanted to make the special Lego building wall. It was fun!

My mom also took me to the Lego Club meeting at the Lego store at Kenwood Towne Centre (513-791-4241 or lego.com). For Halloween, guess what? We made a werewolf. Then I got a box and I got to pick any Legos I wanted from the wall in the back of the store. I got to take home the box and the wolf. You better try it out. Then if you are lucky your mom (or dad) might let you go to Starbucks or to get pretzels and lemonade.

Legos are great because you get to make stuff, play with them, and sometimes take them home too.

A note from Tina Pratt (otherwise known as Mom): Lego store offers FREE monthly mini builds that require registration online.  Lego store also offers Lego Club meetings (registration required) for $10 which include the mini build as well as a box to get loose Legos to take home.  Libraries and YMCAs sometimes offer Lego clubs as well. We have also participated in FREE Lego mini builds at King Arthur’s and Toys R Us too, so keep an eye on their fliers!

On Wednesday November 23, kids in grades k-2 can take part in LEGO: Master Builder challenges at a camp at the Cincinnati Museum. www.cincymuseum.org/programs/museum-camp
