There’s a new location for Boone County’s Jack-O-Lantern Contest and Walk this year! Head to Boone County Fairgrounds (5819 Idlewild Road, Burlington) on Oct. 29 for for a fun pumpkin carving contest, whether you want to enter or just enjoy the creative contributions.
Those entering can get an entry form and rules at boonecountyky.org. Categories include scariest, spookiest, creepiest, happiest, unusual, traditional, funniest, eeriest, creative design, etched design, trade mark (think cartoon characters), and kit. Awards include Halloween t-shirts to the top three finishers in each category.
Families are invited to walk a trail of contest pumpkins between 7:30 and 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 while enjoying some Halloween festivities. Learn more at boonecounty.ky.org!
