There’s nothing sweeter than a kid who loves to help, and CancerFree KIDS Pediatric Cancer Research Alliance has a fun way to let them touch the lives of other children with their new fundraising initiative, Krispy Kindness. The program invites people of all ages to make and sell “krispy” marshmallow treats to benefit children with cancer. The idea came from 9-year-old Kimberly, who wanted to help her little brother A.J. after he was diagnosed with leukemia. She sold her treats with great success and is now sharing the idea with others. Kids will get a chance to explore the creative baker within, and also develop people skills, learn to handle money, and experience the good feelings that come with helping others.

The process is easy — just e-mail barb@cancerfreekids.org or visit cancerfreekids.org to register your sale, and they will help provide you with recipe ideas as well as ideas on how to promote the sale in your community for the greatest impact.
