‘SHIPWRECK: Realm of the Eels’

by |

If your kids are fascinated by buried treasure and mysterious sunken ships, you won't want to miss this new exhibit headed to the Newport Aquarium!

This spring, visit the Newport Aquarium (1 Aquarium Way, Newport, Ky) to explore a sunken ship taken over by eerie eels!

The Aquarium’s newest exhibit, “Shipwreck: Realm of the Eels,” showcases colorful fish, curious crustaceans, venomous lionfish and mysterious eels. Visit the Captain’s quarters, then investigate a large treasure chest and other parts of the sunken ship.

Opening weekend for this sunken exhibit launches Friday morning, March 6! Beyond exploring ruins of an old sunken ship, guests can enjoy a unique, fun twist during the opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. as Newport Aquarium’s Executive Director, Eric Rose, commissions the remains of the ship – how? By breaking a bottle across the wreckage! You won’t want to miss it!
