Help Clean Up the Parks

Two volunteer opportunities are available this month to help clean up local parks. On April 2, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., families are invited to plant some trees at England Idlewild Park (5550 Idlewild Road, Burlington). Volunteers will then enjoy some refreshments and get a tree seedling to take home. Sign up at

On April 23, beginning at 9 a.m., ages 7 and older can help clean up trash at Doe Run Lake (1501 Bullock Pen Road) as part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Clean-Up 2016. A great opportunity for students to earn some volunteer hours! Call Steve at 859-525-7529 or visit
