Things We Like: Fun, Local Farmer’s Markets

Just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean you have to stop finding fresh, tasty local produce around town!

Hit up these eventful farmer’s markets right in your area through the fall! We have you set with a good market for every day of the week.

MONDAY
Burwinkle Farm; burwinkelfarms.com 
A third generation family based out of Ross, Ohio, with a variety of stands throughout the Cincinnati area. They pride themselves on freshness and service. See the website for locations and times.

TUESDAY
Loveland Farmers Market; lovelandfm.com; 205 Broadway, Loveland
This fun market takes place from 3 – 6:30 p.m. through October, next to the General Store and canoe rental. Enjoy live music, a kids scavenger hunt and tasty vendors including Jaybird Farms, Diane’s Heavenly Delights and Pickled Paradise. 

WEDNESDAY
Blue Ash Farmers Market; blueash.com/departments/parks_and_recreation/farmers_market.php; Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road, Blue Ash
Head to Summit Park from 3 – 7 p.m. through October 2, and take advantage of a new food truck every week, music and vendors including Blue Oven Bakery and Can-du Farm.

THURSDAY 
Lebanon Ohio Farmers Market; lebanonohiofarmersmarket.com/vendor-list.html
From 3 – 7 p.m., head to the corner of Main and Sycamore in downtown Lebanon (near Golden Lamb) through October 17, and browse delicious vendors such as Glory Farms, The Beanery Beanery and Frostop Rootbeer.

FRIDAY
Findlay Market Farmer’s Market; 1801 Race St., Cincinnati; findlaymarket.org
Head to Findlay Market Tuesday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 6.p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. –  6 p.m., a few blocks from Over-the -Rhine featuring a year-round indoor market and seasonal outdoor farmers market with a variety of meats, fish, cheeses, produce and more! It’s the oldest public market in Ohio and attracts people from all over, boasting a rich variety of local food and art. 

SATURDAY
Covington Farmers Market; localharvest.org/covington-farmers-market-M18086
Head to Covington from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. through October at the corner of 3rd and Court Streets, and enjoy a view of the river while sampling great local produce and other fresh foods.

SUNDAY
Hyde Park Farmers Market; hydeparkfarmersmarket.com
Through October 27 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Erie and Edward (the Square) groove to live music while checking out the vendors including Backyard Orchard, Elmwood Stock Farm and Shagbark Farm.
