About The Director’s Series – Film Studies Workshop

Each month, The Underground hosts “The Director Series,” a three-hour film studies workshop in which middle school and high school students have the opportunity to socialize, watch movies, and learn about directors who have made a lasting impact on the cinematic arts. Prior to the film screening, Underground staff members provide a mini lesson on the significance of the director’s work as well as facilitate group discussion after the movie. The workshop includes a dinner/social followed by a filming screening and dessert/group discussion. Only G, PG, and PG-13 movies are shown.

March 21 – Francis Ford Coppola’s “Conversation”
April 18 – Frank Capra’s “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
