About St. Gertrude School
Since its founding in 1934, St. Gertrude School has offered academic excellence in the Dominican tradition for Kindergarten though 8th Grade. Attentive to each student's need for intellectual challenges, the school cultivates an atmosphere that encourages responsibility, problem-solving and an awareness of being a member of a community, as well as mastery of essential skills. Innovative learning includes an outdoor classroom and a 1:1 device ratio as well as strong enrichments including fine arts and a variety of sports. Led by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, the school offers daily prayer, weekly school mass, monthly adoration and regular sacramental preparation. After-school care is available for drop-in as needed. A great majority of St. Gertrude School graduates attend the high school of their choice and go on to become high school leaders, ranking in the top of their classes. Alumni have attended some of the best colleges and universities in the country and go on to achieve many professional accomplishments. All of this is very valuable, but St. Gertrude School is most proud to send students into the world as joyful, strong individuals, grounded in their faith and connected to the world around them.
