About Seven Hills School

Preparing students to thrive! What truly sets Seven Hills apart is not only what we teach, but how we teach. Early Childhood Education (ages 2 through kindergarten) Helping children prepare for future success starts with providing a strong, supportive foundation. Among the important building blocks is a learning experience that offers a rich array of resources to discover and create, nurturing teachers who are experts at fostering curiosities, and an interdisciplinary curriculum that stretches children’s imaginations and brings learning to life. A unique strength of Early Childhood instruction is our enrichment program. In addition to classic instruction—including reading, math, science, and writing—our early learners take Spanish, drama, art, physical education, and music as part of their weekly schedule. Lower Schools (grades 1-5) Compassionate teachers foster the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young children. With small class sizes, our teachers know each student well. Teachers guide children through lessons, rich in opportunities for exploration and self- discovery in reading, science, and global awareness, character education and community service. In addition, enrichment courses in Spanish, music, drama, art, and physical education are also part of our stimulating weekly schedule. Middle School (grades 6-8) The Middle School years are a time of rapid physical, intellectual, and emotional change— when Middle School students begin to form and express ideas of their own. Our students learn in environments that seek to encourage them to explore new challenges, take safe risks, and “learn by doing.” Upper School (grades 9-12) At the Upper School level, students begin to take more ownership of their education. Teachers place emphasis on helping students learn to make choices, to manage their time, and to think critically and creatively. They help students focus not only on the acquisition of knowledge, but on inquiry, discovery, and the application of skills to meaningful problem solving. Each student receives 25-35 hours of personalized college counseling between their junior and senior years, provided by our four dedicated college counselors.
